Foreign Minister sends condolences following the fire incident at Bubaneshwar Hospital

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Asim has sent a message of condolence to the Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, Her Excellency Ms. Sushma Swaraj, following the fire incident at Sum Hospital Bubaneshwar on Monday, 17 October 2016, which has caused the loss of many lives and injured many more. 

The Minister’s message reads as follows:

“I was deeply saddened to learn about the fire incident at Sum Hospital, Bhubaneswar in Orissa State on Monday, 17 October 2016, causing the loss of many lives and injuries to many more.

During this difficult time, allow me to express our sincere condolences to all those affected by this tragedy, especially the members of the bereaved families.

The Government and the people of the Maldives join me in conveying our profound sympathy to you, the Government and the friendly people of India.”
