INDIAN EXTERNAL AFFAIRS MINISTER PAYS COURTESY CALL ON PRESIDENT SOLIH

Minister of External Affairs of India, Sushma Swaraj has paid a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The meeting was held today at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, India.

During the call, India’s External Affairs Minister reiterated assurance of Indian friendship and mutual cooperation with the Maldives. Discussions were also held on strengthening traditionally strong and friendly relations through development cooperation, human resource development and people-to-people exchanges.

President Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed are currently on a State Visit to India, being made on the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. President Solih and First Lady are being hosted at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, as special guests of the Indian President Ram Nath Kovind.
