PRESIDENT TAKES PART IN THE CEREMONY TO MARK THE COMPLETION OF ROAD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN VILUFUSHI ISLAND
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has taken part in the ceremony held to mark the completion of road development project in Vilufushi Island, Kolhumadulu Atoll this afternoon.
During the ceremony held at Vilufushi, President Yameen unveiled the monument placed to mark the completion of road development project.
President Yameen began his three-day visit to some islands of Kolhumadulu Atoll yesterday. On day-one, the President inaugurated clean water services in Thimarafushi Island. The President then took part in the ceremony to mark the completion of the beach protection project in Veymandoo Island. He also took part in the ceremony held to mark the completion of beach protection project in Kandoodhoo Island.
Prior to the Vilufushi visit today, President Yameen initiated the services of sewerage system in Buruni Island this morning.
The President will then travel to Madifushi Island, and initiate the services of sewerage system, mark the completion of the land reclamation project and the protection of the reclaimed land area in the island.
Likewise, President Yameen is also scheduled to initiate the services of sewerage system Dhiyamigili Island tomorrow.
