FOSIM holds Briefing Session for Newly Nominated Ambassadors

Foreign Service Institute of Maldives (FOSIM) held a briefing session for the newly nominated diplomats to be posted at Maldives Missions abroad.
The briefing session was held at the Ministry for Mr. Ibrahim Uvais, newly nominated Ambassador to Japan and Mr. Mohamed Nasheed, the newly nominated Ambassador to Thailand. The session was also attended by additional staff nominated for postings abroad.
The briefing session began with welcome remarks from the Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E Dr. Mohamed Asim.
During the 6th briefing session of FOSIM held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the nominated Ambassadors were briefed on foreign policy, bilateral/multilateral relations, functions and responsibilities of an Ambassador and on the issues related to diplomatic communication, protocol, consular, administration and budget.
Today’s Session was conducted by senior officials of the Ministry including Foreign Secretary Mr. Ahmed Sareer, Mr. Ahmed Khaleel, Secretary Bilateral, Dr. Fazeel Najeeb, Minister of State, Mr. Mohamed Shahudy, Chief of Protocol, Ms. Aminath Abdullah Didi, Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ibrahim Shaheeb, Additional Secretary, Mr. Ahmed Hassan Didi, Additional Secretary, Ms. Aishath Azeema, Additional Secretary and Ms. Fathimath Najwa, Joint Secretary.
