President sends message of condolence to the Prime Minister of India

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of condolence to the Prime Minister of India, His Excellency Narendra Modi, following the tragic bus accident in Himachal Pradesh.

The President’s message reads as follows:

“It was with deep sadness that I learnt about the tragic bus accident in Himachal Pradesh, causing the loss of several innocent lives including small children and serious injuries to many.”

“At this time of sorrow, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in conveying our profound sympathies to Your Excellency, the Government and friendly people of India.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured victims and their families, for a speedy recovery. Please also convey our heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.”
