THE GOVERNMENT CONGRATULATES MP FAISAL NASEEM ON HIS NOMINATION AS JUMHOOREE PARTY’S RUNNING MATE

The Government of the Maldives congratulates the Member of Parliament for Kashidhoo Constituency, Faisal Naseem, on his nomination as Jumhooree Party’s running mate to run alongside Maldivian Democratic Party’s nominated Presidential Candidate Ibrahim Mohammed Solih for the upcoming Presidential Elections.
The Government notes with appreciation that campaign activities are well underway peacefully and appeals all Parties to conduct themselves in a manner which will allow and facilitate an independent, free, fair, transparent and successful Election this year.
The Government calls on all international parties and monitors to provide support and assistance to the election process and refrain from any actions which may negatively impact the upcoming elections.
The Government reiterates the importance of engaging in talks and calls upon the Maldivian Democratic Party’s (MDP) nominated Presidential Candidate, MP Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, and his running mate, Jumhooree Party’s MP Faisal Naseem to accept the Government’s invitation for dialogue to ensure a free, fair, transparent and successful Presidential election.
