INDIAN AMBASSADOR PAYS COURTESY CALL ON THE VICE PRESIDENT

The Ambassador of India to Maldives, Akhilesh Mishra has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office. The Indian Ambassador was accompanied at the call by his spouse Reeti Mishra.

During the call, Vice President and the Indian Ambassador shed light on the centuries-old history of Maldives and India; while expressing hopes that the existing ties between the Maldives and India will be further enhanced in the upcoming days.

Speaking at the meeting the Indian Ambassador highlighted the “First 100 days” agenda of President Solih’s administration, and assured of India’s support and cooperation in achieving these goals. The Ambassador further reiterated India’s continuous support to the Maldives, especially in the area of youth empowerment.
