President brings second amendment to the Decree issued on State of Emergency

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has revised and issued a second amendment to the Presidential Decree concerning the State of Emergency that was declared on 5 February 2018, with reference to Article 253 of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives.
In the revised Presidential Decree (No. 2018/5) issued this evening, President has specified that from the restricted and suspended Articles of the Constitution during the state of emergency that was declared yesterday, the new Decree (No. 2018/5) will lift the restriction or suspension of Article 145 (c) of the Constitution.
Article 145 (c) of the Constitution states that The Supreme Court shall be the final authority on the interpretation of the Constitution, the law, or any other matter dealt with by a court of law.
