President ratifies 2nd Amendment Bill to Judicature Act

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today ratified the ‎2nd ‎Amendment Bill to the Judicature Act
(Act No. 22/2010).‎ The Amendment was passed by the Parliament at the 6th ‎sitting of its ‎second session, on 14th June 2017. Following ratification, the ‎Act has been ‎published in the Government Gazette.

Following the ratification of this amendment, the total number of judges on the High Court bench is now 11, composed of a Chief Judge and 10 additional judges.
