The Ambassador of Bangladesh to Maldives Calls on Foreign Minister

The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Maldives His Excellency Rear Admiral Akhtar Habib, NGP, ndc, ncc, psc, BN, called on His Excellency Abdulla Shahid, Minister of Foreign Affairs, this afternoon.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador congratulated the Minister on his appointment and discussed ways of further strengthening the existing close relations between the Maldives and Bangladesh. The Minister assured his commitment to working closely with the Government of Bangladesh to enhance collaboration in areas that are of mutual benefit to both countries.

The Foreign Minister was accompanied by H.E. Mr. Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H. E. Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, Foreign Secretary, and  Ms. Khadeejath Nizwee Rasheed, Assistant Director, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
